MORGAN'S HEAD CABEZA (MORGAN'S HEAD)
Cabeza de Morgan is a huge rock of about fifteen meters high that comes out of the water
In the south-east of Santa Catalina Island, the name ofCabeza de Morgan, or "Morgan's Head", was given to a huge rock of about fifteen meters high which emerges from the water and which would resemble the head of the famous English pirate... with a lot of imagination! Santa Catalina was regularly used as a base for Morgan and his men, before attacking the Spanish galleons loaded with the treasures collected in South America and sent to the Spanish Crown.
