GARE FERROVIAIRE

A first station is located near the Volga. Kazan is on one of the Trans-Siberian routes (the Ural line connects Moscow to Ekaterinburg by the south). There are therefore regular trains to the east, Ekaterinbourg (3 p. m.), Omsk (28 hours), Novosibirsk (36 hours). Many trains also for Moscow (12 hours). To go to the station from the city, take a taxi or get off at the tram station: Jeleznodorojny vokzal ♀ or «Tsoum ↓». The second station, Kazan-Vostanie, more recently, will serve as a transit point for the future high-speed train linking Kazan to Moscow within hours.
