KAZAN ARENA
The Kazan Arena opened its doors in 2013, just in time for the Universiades that propelled the city to the front of the sports scene in Russia. The stadium is in many ways surprising: with the largest outdoor screen in Europe, it was also transformed into a swimming pool for the World Swimming Championships in 2015. It is the home of the Rubin Kazan, which evolves in the First League, and is classified in category 4 UEFA. Built on the edge of the Kazanka River, it is not too far away from the city center, and arborous, seen from above, floral lines. Six matches will take place during the World, including one eighth and one quarter.
