LALLA SETTI TRAY
The Lalla Setti plateau, south of the town of Tlemcen, is accessible by cable car and offers a breathtaking view.
To the south of the town, the Tlemcen mountains climb to two plateaus. The first, at 805 m, is the site of the ancient city of Tlemcen. The second, at 1,025 m, overlooks the present-day town. Lalla Setti can be reached by cable car from the Grand Bassin or the Lycée Benzekri (downtown), or by taking the RN 22 through Mansourah and the village of Béni-Boublen, or, shortly after this village, by taking a small road that climbs to the left to reach a koubba housing the remains of Lalla Setti, a heroine of the great siege of Tlemcen. The view from here is breathtaking.
