Created 65,000 years ago, these caves are a jewel of nature not to be missed. They have been carved out of the limestone of the Tlemcen massif in a deep gallery and a series of rooms sculpted with fantastic stalactites and stalagmites that stretch for over 700 metres. With a year-round temperature of 13°C, they were once used by local farmers as a natural cold store for their vegetables. Since 2006, they have been open to the public.
