AYGUADES COVE
This small cove in Béjaïa is ideal for swimming, and can be reached via the path along the cliff and Cap Noir.
Follow the path along the cliff and Cap Noir to reach this small cove, halfway to Cap Carbon. The name Ayguades recalls the proximity of a freshwater spring to which sailors came to drink. It was in this cove that the Spanish landed in 1507, only to be driven back to sea by Salah Raïs. A carriage road also leads here; the junction is halfway along the road to Cap Carbon. The cove, lined with pebbles and boulders and surrounded by greenery, is a magnificent bathing spot.
