CAP CARBON
This Carbon cape, north of Béjaïa, is an islet linked to the coast by a small alluvial isthmus.
North of Bejaïa, a road climbs through olive and pine trees, skirting the Gouraya heights. A small tunnel leads to the magnificent Cape Carbon, an islet connected to the coast by a small alluvial isthmus. The path leads to a 220 m high lighthouse, one of the highest in the Mediterranean, along pretty coves with beautiful sea views. You can also expect to see a few magot monkeys, regular visitors to the area. You won't be able to climb up to the lighthouse itself, as the army has taken possession of the site.
