TAI FOREST LODGES

A stay at the Touraco Ecotel and its Chimpanzee Camp promises an enchanting immersion in the heart of the forest. A unique and memorable experience that contributes to the conservation of the park. Taï Forest Lodges is developing this responsible ecotourism project within the national park with the Office Ivoirien des Parcs et Réserves (OIPR) and the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation (WCF), to offer visitors a memorable experience, in comfort and with appropriate services. The ideal stay is 3 to 5 days, combining an ascent of Mount Niénokoué, a boat trip and chimpanzee watching.

Ecotel Touraco comprises ten bungalows in traditional local style, with basic but decent comfort, solar-powered electricity and water supply. Together with the restaurant, they are located at the mouths of the Hana and Momo rivers, offering a breathtaking view of the primary forest. At the lodge in the early morning, the songs of the touracos and hornbills herald the dawn!

Chimpanzee Camp is located in the center of the territory of a group of habituated chimpanzees, and is a rustic tented camp for an authentic stay. From here, you can observe chimpanzees, climb Mount Niénokoué and go on educational walks to discover incredible biodiversity. We also offer excursions on the Hana River in search of more elusive and endemic animals, such as the pygmy hippopotamus, the aquatic deer, the West African false gharial and many others.
