CHURCH OF THE MOLA
A church dedicated to the Virgin of the Pilar, built in 1771 under the impulse of the Archbishop of Tarragona
It was built in 1771 at the instigation of the archbishop of Tarragona following complaints from the inhabitants of the village. The only church on the island, in Sant Francesc, was too far from La Mola. Dedicated to the Virgin of the Pilar, it has a rectangular plan with a single nave topped by a barrel vault. Its architecture is made up of an assembly of immaculate rectangular forms, devoid of decoration. It is also preceded by an entrance porch. The rector's house was located in the small adjoining building.
