Visit the lighthouse of La Mola and admire an informative exhibition on the relationship between man and the sea in Formentera
Built in 1859 to watch over the eastern tip of the island, 192 meters above sea level, the La Mola lighthouse was long closed to the public. The interior of the now beautifully restored building houses the Espai cultural i educatiu Far de la Mola, which presents an instructive exhibition on the relationship between man and sea on Formentera. At the foot of the lighthouse, a commemorative plaque recalls that this mysterious place inspired the famous Jules Verne and Hector Servadac's adventures through the Solar System.
