Production of artisanal rum by a French master distiller with tours of the distillery and tasting sessions.
Antoine Poirecuitte, a French master distiller, has taken up the challenge of producing artisanal rum in Vietnam. Since 2019, the Distillerie d'Indochine has been located by the sea. Visitors can tour the distillery. A tasting bar allows visitors to discover the different rums made from cane juice, some of which are even aged in old cognac barrels for three years, marketed under the Sampan brand. Nearby, a guesthouse, the Villa Mai Tai, welcomes travellers in a simple yet very pleasant setting.
