NATIONAL PARK OF PU MAT
A park brimming with abundant flora and fauna, including many valuable medicinal plants and mammal species.
Composed of a central zone of 94 804 ha and a buffer zone of 86 000 ha, culminating at 1841 m of altitude, it is considered as the largest primary forest in the North. It abounds in an abundant flora, including many valuable medicinal plants. The fauna is not to be outdone, with about sixty species of mammals: sao la(Pseudoryx nghetinhensis), black gibbon with white cheek... as well as precious birds (pheasant, etc.). Pù Mat National Park is also home to some herds of elephants. About 20 km away, there is the Khe Kèm waterfall, 150 m high.
