LAS OLAS BEACH RESORT
Las Olas, the only resort on the long beach, was built in early 1990 by Juan and Donna, a Panamanian-American couple, on their family's extensive land that had previously been dedicated to ranching and farming. The farm is still there, behind the hotel, and most of the restaurant's products come from it. Las Olas has a bar and a swimming pool right on the beach, tennis courts, and a variety of activities (fishing, horseback riding, kayaking). Daily rates are available to enjoy the resort without being a guest of the hotel: US$15 and US$7.50 per adult/child.
