Parrots, monkeys, tapirs, pumas... you can observe 94 species of animals, in beautiful surroundings, but... in cages, and that's a bit sad, I must admit. As for the endemic frog rana dorada (Atelopus zeteki), a national symbol, you can see it in a small conservation center dedicated to it. This critically endangered species is almost impossible to see in its natural habitat. In pre-Columbian times, the Indians believed that once dead, it turned to gold, hence the name "golden frog".

En effet comme souvent signalé le manque d'entretien est évident et les conditions d'exposition des animaux lamentables .
Pour nous qui avons visité El Valle d'Anton à la saison des pluies donc sans aucune possibilité d'excursion ce fut une bonne occupation , mais je pense que les vrais amoureux de la nature n'apprécierons pas toujours l'état d'abandon qui ressort de ce parc .
Apparemment l'un des derniers lieux pour admirer la RANA DORADA , la grenouille jaune ... venimeuse , mais qui se transforme en or quand on la tue, ... d'où sa disparition .
