A sanctuary that conceals real treasures, like the church Notre-Dame-des-Montiers, located in Tinchebray-Bocage.
Henry I Beauclerc built a Bastille at the castle headquarters in 1106. The place was originally called Les Montiers, and several chapels have been built there since the 10th century. Located in the cemetery, this sanctuary has real treasures: vault of panelling on carved doors, bench benches in fuseaux, maître, wooden tabernacle painted with five parts and two floors with dome, 10th-century polychrome statuettes, polychrome double-column polychrome altarpiece, Twisted table, statue of the Virgin to the Child of the 10th century, the north altar and the southern altar (18th century) from the abbey of Belle-Etoile.
