CASTLE DURROW
Hotel with restaurant set in a pleasant chateau with gardens, a luxurious and relaxing place to stay in Portlaoise.
Castle Durrow, surrounded by 2,200 acres of meadows, gardens and woodland, was once owned by Viscount Ashbrook in the 18th century. Now beautifully restored, after 4 years of impressive work completed in the late 1990s, the estate allows its lucky residents to live the castle life again! A luxurious and exotic place, only an hour and a half from Dublin. Not forgetting the restaurant, run by chef Graham Gallagher, who concocts tasty seasonal cuisine with vegetables from the garden.
