GLENCOLMCILLE FOLK VILLAGE
A life-size reconstruction of a rural village from the to the century, where you can learn about regional customs.
A life-size reconstruction of a rural village of the last centuries. Opened in 1967 by the priest James McDyer, the village, like a living museum, is made up of four traditional thatched houses, called "clachan", which are bright white and show the regional customs (furnishings, tools, crafts, etc.). An interesting visit that gives a good insight into daily rural life in one of the most remote corners of the country from the 18th to the 20th century.
