TYROLIENNE DE FORTICA
Tyrolean traverse above the Fortica panoramic site, with two routes, one to the south and the other to the north.
Created in 2018, this zip line (Zip Line Fortica) allows you to walk along the old town of Mostar for 1,000 m in the void, simply held to a rope. The starting point is 500 m above sea level, just above the scenic site of Fortica, marked by a large flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the inscription "BIH VOLIMO TE" overlooking the eastern part of the city. Two routes are possible. One to the south, 530 m long, the other to the north, 470 m long, with a maximum speed of 90 km/h. The two arrival points are located on former Italian fortifications dating from the Second World War. Each departure is preceded by a short training session, instructions in English and a test ride on a 20 m long zip line. Safety equipment (helmet, harness) is provided and tandem courses with an instructor are possible. The return by vehicle to the starting point is included in the price. The activity is supervised by MBTA Mostar, a mountain bike association. The latter also has a via ferrata with a 70-meter-long monkey bridge called Đavolje Stepenice ("devil's stairs") and installed above the Blagaj cliffs. The association also offers mountain bike and electric bike rental, supervised climbing and rappelling sessions. Elsewhere in the country, there is another, smaller zip line on Mount Trebević, near Sarajevo, and a project for a large "urban" zip line is announced, also in Sarajevo.
