statue de Vercingétorix

Cette statue devait représenté Vercingétorix mais n'ayant aucun portrait du chef gaulois , Napoleon 3 aurait fait faire la statue avec son portrait .Ceci dit la balade est fort agréable.

Statue impressionnante bien que peu d'informations comme on aime lire lors d'une visite même si on en connaît l'histoire. Accès facile, vue sur la plaine agréable

Accès facile gratuit, le but d'une balade sympa pour découvrir cette statue "géante" qui impressionne cependant moins que ses dimensions ne le laissent penser

Une grande statue qui sur un point haut offre une belle vue et permet de découvrir les villages environnants par le chemin montant.
Sur la plan historiques, peu d'informations cependant, et c'est dommage.
Le site est assez déserté depuis la création du complexe "Alésia" dans le bas de la vallée.

The place is well picnic, peaceful. Ideal also for walkers, because there is a possible course.
The only disadvantage, I went from 8/15/13, and question of observing the surrounding plains to imagine the camps of the Romans during the siege is impossible. Nature has taken its rights back, it is impossible to see though it is, the trees too high (see photo)
