Gallery featuring many delicate Carrickmacross lace works, including demonstrations.
In the 19th century, lace making became very important in this part of Ireland. Many delicate works are on display at the Carrickmacross Lace Gallery, whose workshop is still in operation today. The lace used to adorn Princess Diana's iconic wedding dress originated here. By prior arrangement, visitors can attend demonstrations.
