A picturesque 240 hectare woodland park, nestling on the shores of Lough Oughter, offering a number of signposted woodland walks (1.5 to 5.8 km), picnic areas, a swimming area, a cycle path (3 km). On one of the many small islands in the lake are the remains of Clough Oughter Castle, a 13th-century circular castle used as a prison and later as a fortress by the Irish soldier Owen Roe O'Neill, before being destroyed by Cromwell's army in 1653. It is only accessible by canoe, which can be hired on site.
