Public baths fed by hot mineral water with many virtues.
There are half a dozen public swimming pools in the city, all fed by warm mineral water with many virtues. Bulgarians love it. The one in Sjarna, on Georgi Benkovski street, is open from 7am to 7pm. The baths alternate between men and women. In fact, bathing is done in complete nudity, in the manner of a Japanese onsen. You undress in the communal changing rooms, take a shower and then go into the baths, which vary in temperature but are always hot! A superb experience.
