RÉSERVE ARCHITECTURALE DE BRACHYLAN

An architectural reserve with numerous chapels and dolmens in the vicinity.
The village of Brachlyan is located in the heart of Strandzha Park, in a verdant setting of picturesque wooden houses built between the 17th and 19th centuries, typical of the Strandzha mountains. Almost abandoned in the 20th century with the rural exodus, it has remained unchanged in modern times and was declared a reserve in 1982. The 14th-century church of St. Dimitri, built on a Thracian sanctuary, is remarkable. There are also numerous chapels and dolmens in the area.
