TSEPINA FORTRESS
Go there and contact
This fortress was one of the most important in Bulgaria in the Middle Ages.
If you are motorized or want to go there by taxi, this site is of double interest: you can see the ruins of a Bulgarian fortress from the 4th century, which flourished until it was taken by the Ottomans in the 14th century. It was one of the most important Bulgarian fortresses in the Middle Ages and in the 13th century was the seat of the Bulgarian boyar Alexi Slav. The foundations are clearly visible and highlighted. But, in addition, this short walk calls for splendid views of the Rhodope Mountains; one can see as far as Greece. Restaurant and rooms available in summer.
