It is the only skansen in Slovakia managed by the municipality and certainly one of the most beautiful with its 50 traditional houses and its 15th century wooden church in Zábrež. At the entrance, ask for the explanatory booklet which will provide you with precise explanations throughout your visit. This open-air museum also has an original programme, especially in winter. Indeed, from January to March, night visits to the lantern are organized with a popular ball on Wednesdays.

The site is visited on foot, there is more than 50 furnished traditional houses that you can mostly enter (houses peasants rich, modest houses peasants, houses maier, hut of the shepherd, church, potter, etc. .on see traditional furniture, clothing, tools). all this in the heart of the pine trees, the river which crosses the "village". There are one or two retail outlets of souvenirs. Allow 2 good visiting times. A small brochure (English) takes you to the cash desk with the explanations on each house and place.
