The Markušovce manor house was built in 1643 by the Mariássy family and originally served as a defensive fortress. Rebuilt in the 18th century in rococo style, it now houses an exhibition on the history of furniture. Another rococo villa, the Dardanely Summer House, was built in the late 18th century in anticipation of the visit of Emperor Joseph II, which never took place. Don't miss the frescoes depicting Greco-Roman mythology, or the exhibition of traditional keyboards.
