The beautiful Orthodox church of Bodružala, built of wood by the parishioners, dates back to 1658. It is one of the oldest and best preserved sacred wooden buildings in Slovakia. The church is dedicated to St. Nicholas the Thaumaturg. Divided into three spaces topped by onion towers, it has a majestic iconostasis and rare 18th century frescos. It has been included with seven other Slovak wooden churches on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
