It is the only cave in the High Tatras open to the public. It is located east of the Belianske Tatras in the village of Tatranská Kotlina. It was discovered in the 17th century by gold diggers, studied in the 19th century and opened to the public in the 20th century. The cave is home to several species of bats, numerous waterfalls, lakes and stalagmites in pagodas dot the route. The most remarkable formation is the so-called "Tower of Pisa", the symbol of the cave.
