RESTAURANTE MIRADOR DE LA PEÑA
The road climbs and winds up to the highest point to arrive at this magnificent site and restaurant! Before your eyes, a magical panorama overlooking the Roques de Salmor, and all the beaches of El Golfo (as seen from an airplane!), and the beautiful stone building with its gigantic glass roofs to enjoy the view. Built in 1989 by César Manrique, the famous artist and preserver of the island of Lanzarote, the restaurant has even been visited by Spain's majesties: Juan Carlos I and his wife Sofia. A venue for receptions, it's also one of the best tables on the island! Don't hesitate to take a seat on the terrace to make the most of the fresh air and magical view, while enjoying fine Mediterranean and Canarian cuisine using local and organic produce. On the menu: fried cabrit, local fish soup, stuffed chicken breast with mushroom sauce, pineapple garnished with langoustines, and desserts of Gofio mousse (a local specialty) with honey and toasted almonds. Don't forget to take a stroll along the path that starts here and will leave you with an unforgettable memory. You'll be right up there with the clouds!
