This charming Bed & Breakfast is located 1 mile west of the city centre. Built in the 1830 s, the location was initially a sanatorium. Then in the 1940 s it was acquired by an artist, Mary Aleshire, and subsequently welcomed many personalities such as John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Norman Rockwell and many others. Completely restored in the 1990 s, the Black Mountain Inn today offers several elegantly furnished and comfortable rooms.
