This tiny bar, opened in 1948, is a mythical place in the history of the blues. In its early years, it was a local meeting place for the cotton fields of the Comté county. In the 1950 s, musicians from the entire region came to this place (Skip James, Jack Owens, Henry Stuckey, Sonny Boy Williamson II, James "Son" Thomas…). Decoration and furniture do not seem to have changed since then. The tenancier, Jimmy Holmes, said Duck, is himself a recognized bluesman.
