LOFTS AT THE FIVE AND DIME
Opened in 1924, the F.W. Woolworth store in Clarksdale was one of the first stores in the city centre. In 1955, it expanded by absorbing a dozen nearby shops. Confronted with the movement of civil rights defenders in the early 1960 s, his restaurant never accepted desegregation and closed in 1963. It took several decades for it to be registered in the National Register of Historic Institutions and that cosmetic work is being undertaken. It was in this renovated set that six elegant loft loft was created in 2010. The rooms are very spacious, tastefully decorated and fully equipped. A convenient address and extremely comfortable accommodation.
