CASA DE BAHAREQUE - EL CUARTICO
This house recreates the lifestyle of a mid-20th century Vallenata family
This house recreates the lifestyle of a Vallenata family from the mid-twentieth century. El Cuartico was born from the initiative of the Jiménez Zuleta sisters, a great family of musicians. The history of the town from the 40s and 50s has been preserved, as well as the essence and customs of the old Valledupar (furniture, costumes from the vallenato festival, photos, etc.). The bahareque, equivalent to the cob, is a type of traditional construction made of cane, guadua or wood intertwined, covered with clay.
