One of the city's oldest churches, home to two famous frescoes by the artist Fernando Botero
Built around 1320, the small church of St. Anthony of Pietrasanta (also known as the "Chiesa della Misericordia") is one of the oldest in the city, but it is best known for housing two famous frescoes painted by Colombian artist Fernando Botero (1932-2023). One, Les Portes de l'Enfer, depicts Hitler and Pablo Escobar; the other, Les Portes du Paradis, features Mother Teresa in a verdant garden. A real curiosity!
