Taste a transalpine cuisine on a beautiful terrace in a small Alsatian corner in Guebwiller.
At first glance, it's the view of the Guebwiller lake that makes you want to visit! In fact, there's a lovely terrace where you can enjoy lunch or dinner in fine weather. At first glance, the name of the establishment suggests transalpine cuisine. Not so! You'll be surprised to find that pizzas and other Italian pastas rub shoulders with a much more regional cuisine on the menu. In fact, it's been dubbed "the little Alsatian corner", where you'll delight in mouth-watering "bouchées à la reine", almost as good as your grandmother's! But you can also try the tartes flambées (flambéed tarts), as this establishment boasts a real wood-fired oven, where the famous Mario pizzaïolo has been officiating for 20 years. That's where the reputation of the pizzas (the spearhead of this fine establishment) comes from, and Mario has let himself be seduced by the "Alsatian pizza"! For meat lovers, we recommend the duck breast or steak tartare. Otherwise, for impatient gourmets, we suggest a little patience, as there's always a crowd, and the dishes are made to order, as are the sauces. Patience is the mother of all virtues! It's impossible to leave without trying one of the house specialties on the dessert side. And the choice is stark, between tiramisu, crème catalane or red fruit panna cotta!
