Avalanche Trail is a half-day hike that begins on the Cedar Trail
Avalanche Trail is a half-day hike that begins on the Cedar Trail and continues through the Avalanche Creek Gorge. From there, you will go up through the forest for 3 km to the Avalanche Lake. The lake, bordered by steep cliffs on three sides and fed by numerous waterfalls, is simply heavenly. You can then continue the hike for 1.3 km to reach the other end of the waterhole. Within everyone's reach, but also very much appreciated by bears... Then get yourself a pepper spray.
