GOOSENECKS STATE PARK
A viewpoint overlooking a deep meander of the San Juan River at Goosenecks State Park
Goosenecks State Park is primarily a viewpoint overlooking a deep meander where the San Juan River winds its way through. From the edge of this 305 m deep incision, the view of the canyon in the shape of several goose necks is spectacular. This masterpiece of erosion is in close proximity to several other natural wonders such as Natural Bridges National Monument, Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley. Be careful not to go there at the end of the day as the shade in the canyon would greatly diminish the colors.
