A superb and wild site. The bungalows are comfortable and perfectly maintained. We let ourselves be rocked in the hammocks on the terraces. Lemurs come to pay courtesy visits. The restaurant offers a very decent cuisine, the menu is renewed daily according to the arrivals of the day. The staff, headed by Sylvain, is friendly and eminently concerned. A dream at the end of the world, for all nature lovers. The hotel has a second entity, the Palmarium Beach, one kilometer away with 8 bungalows.

Le Palmarium
Pour arriver dans cet hôtel il faut emprunter un chemin cahoteux et prendre un bateau. Ces moyens de transports sont assez fatigants mais cela vaut la peine. La réception, le restaurant et les chambres sont en hauteur dans la nature au bord du lac. Ces dernières sont spacieuses avec terrasse. L'alimentation électrique est solaire et l'eau est chauffée pas des poêles à bois. Très bon restaurant. Les lémuriens ne sont pas craintifs . On peut les approcher lors d'une balade dans la réserve. Excursion de nuit pour aller voir les ayes-ayes.

This hotel is a small jewel placed in the setting of Pangalanes and lake Ampitabe. Quiet, soft, joy... especially thanks to the staff is friendly and eminently involved. The bungalows are large, and opposite, and overlook the beaches of lake. Everything is clean here, and the terrace is very pleasant. The bathroom is large and functional, but the flow of water is not very high. Swimming is easy and pleasant in the lake. It is very convenient for children especially because there is no wave, the water is warm and clear. In the evening at sunset the villagers come to fish.
The restaurant does not offer much choice but at least it is fresh because the menus change every day. The breakfast is generous and to share with the lemurs. With not missing: the visit of the reserve, at least half a day and visit the village of Andranokoditra.

Yes it is exceptional. An island in the middle of Pangalanes with Lemurs in Freedom
around you. They are not afraid and are very gourmet (bring some bananas and you will see). The bungalows are very good, the cuisine is excellent. We spent 2 nights of pure happiness in the heart of the lemurs, propithèques, variegatas and indris.
We went 2 times and hope to make a day.

Excellent hospitality and cuisine. From the beautiful walks to the village; few tourists staying 2 nights and it is a shame because it is a dream place
