JEWISH CEMETERY (КЛАДОВИЩЕ КЛАДОВИЩЕ)

What remains of the Jewish cemetery is located in the park area С hevtchenko. The desolation and solitude of the place are tangible. The graves are in fact in a nearly total state of abandonment, suffocated by vegetation. The Holocaust left almost no Jews in Berdichiv to deal with their dead. However, a walk here allows us to seize not only the scale of the tragedy of the Jewish people, but also to remember the richness of the Jewish past in Ukraine. In the cemetery there is also the tomb of Levi Isaac Ben Meir, famous hasside rabbi.
