MISHKOR AND WASTE

At the foot of Mount Preston-Petri, on the golden beaches of Mishkor stretching over ten kilometres, the forest transforms into a garden of exotic plants. This is the warmest region in the Greater Yalta region. And say, in the 1920 s, that piece of land didn't interest anybody. Today the climatic conditions and quality of sanatoria such as Ukraïna or Sosnova Rosha attract more and more tourists. Here you can visit the beautiful park, but also the Dulber Palace, located in the nearby village of Both. Built in the th century, in honour of Prince Romanov, this palace could serve as a backdrop for a film drawn from the Thousand and One Nights, its Moorish style, palms and fountains make it resemble a Turkish palace. The writer Tolstoy used to stay in this small village. It is also from Mishkor that you can climb at the top of Mount Preston-Petri. One of Europe's most impressive cable cars takes you to a height of 1 200 m for about 2 €. The climb is very steep and the landscape breathtaking once arrived.
