On the road from San Donato to Castellina, Niccolò Caramelli's fattoria (who speaks French!) has been producing since 1940, and bottling its wines and olive oil since 1968. The house speciality is the Chianti Classico but it is interesting to note a Grappa of the Chianti Classico. For the record, the place would have belonged to the Mona Lisa's father (Antonio Maria di Noldo Gherardini) in the 15th century and part of the property would have been the dowry for Monna Lisa's marriage to Francesco di Bartolomeo di Zanobi del Giocondo.
