TEMPLO DA BOA VONTADE
Impressive marble pyramid, with 7 visibly distinct faces, is one of the mystical symbols of the young capital
Brazil is a mystical country. Religion, religions, whether monotheistic or polytheistic, animistic or syncretic, are omnipresent. It is said that in Brasilia, the cosmic waves are particularly intense. The "Templo da Boa Vontade" is certainly one of the mystical symbols of the young capital. This impressive marble pyramid with seven visibly different sides was built on the initiative of the Legião da Boa Vontade in 1987. The ecumenical association, a syncretism of all religions, follows the teachings of Allan Kardec, founder of spiritualism and a figure of notable influence throughout Brazil. The top of the pyramid ends with one of the largest quartz stones ever found in Brazil (21 kilos). To observe it, you have to do a little spiritual exercise consisting, once you have taken off your shoes, in following the path traced by a huge spiral leading to the center of the pyramid. One will remain a little more perplexed in the Egyptian meditation room which deserves a small glance to be entertained by its vaporous atmosphere. In the temple, some feel a little uncomfortable. Others speak of a haven of peace. It must be said that the Temple of Good Will is the most visited monument in the city and that the Legião da Boa Vontade was the first Brazilian non-governmental organization (NGO) to join the UN in 1994. Its visit is therefore worthwhile.
