White dome, 80 m in diameter, right next to the national library, housing circular exhibition spaces
The museum was part of Niemeyer's original plan for Brasília, but was only inaugurated in 2006, along with the National Library, located next door. In this large white dome, various temporary art exhibitions are held throughout the year. A visit is not to be missed, if only for its architecture: this 80 m diameter dome - which houses circular exhibition spaces - is one of the largest domes in the world.
