Museum presenting texts on the construction of Brasília and the history of the transfer of the Brazilian capital from Rio to Brasília
It was inaugurated in 1960 and designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Inside, there are texts about the construction of Brasília and the history of the transfer of the Brazilian capital from Rio to Brasília. On the east façade, a large sculpted head, by José Alves Pedroza, depicts Juscelino Kubitschek and is accompanied by a quotation from the politician who looks positively on the future power of the capital, "with indestructible faith and boundless confidence in its great destiny".
