This cave has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1986. Much more natural and authentic than the one in Postojna. She's on foot. The waters of the Notranjska Reka river disappear near the village, rush into the karst massif, roar as you cross the Hanke Bridge, a 45-metre suspension bridge. With a total length of 5 km, it makes a singular mark on the spirits. On the way back, a small hook at the lookout allows a view of the Velika Dolina, the large dolina, 160 m deep.

Suite à divers avis on fait le choix de venir ici plutôt qu'aux grottes de Postojna et on ne regrette absolument pas. Elles sont sublimes.

La grotte de Skocjan est un concentre de speleologie avec un aspect naturel et sauvage que n'ont pas d'autres sites plus "aseptises". Les enfants y ouvrent grand les yeux, les adultes y ont des frissons, bref c'est une visite inoubliable. Et la sortie nous offre un paysage grandiose a l'exterieur. Postojna est magnifique, Skocjan a le charme en plus

In the centre of the Earth: I exit of the marvel! Take a detour: do not go to side if you go Slovenia, it is unmissable! The photographs and postcards are nothing next to the atmosphere and I had never seen of impressive in terms of cave or fosse. I will up in a word: breathtaking!
For those who know the Postojna caves and that were impressed, say that it is nothing compared to Skocjan caves. The Skocjan caves (a unesco world Heritage Site) are just magnificent! Deep and crossed by a river under - terraine (offering mini waterfall), you will have the opportunity to go on a bridge over 40 m high and walking along the wall. Me with vertigo and am easily paralysed by this phobia, I succeeded in overcoming my fears so the site is beautiful and magic. Just off the cave, one overlooks a paradise, a preserved nature, pure water and turquoise. That will be for me an unforgettable experience! A unique experience that you can not tell because the words are not strong enough. The food is needed! It is a pity that it is forbidden to take pictures inside the caves, but I imagine it is in order to preserve them.
