Three small churches have been erected here which give this place a very special charm. Why three? Mystery... the churches of Our Lady of Sorrows, Ecce-Homo and Our Lady of Lourdes. The foundation of Tri Fare, built in the middle of the 12th century, is attributed to the order of the Teutonic Knights. At the beginning of the 15th century, the Turks caused the population of present-day Rosalnice to retreat to what would become Metlika over the centuries. Our Lady of Sorrows is the most authentic: it houses the oldest organ in Slovenia.
