NURAGHE ARRUBIU
Don't miss this nuraghe built in the XIV century B.C. and admire its tower with tholos rising to 30 meters
This nuraghe built in the 14th century B.C. included a tholos tower rising to 30 meters. It was protected by a first enclosure wall with five lobes, connected to each other by a thick curtain wall. A second surrounding wall protected the first. It consisted of seven connected towers and three inner courtyards. This basalt colossus is nicknamed the Red Giant because of the colourful lichens that cling to its stones. The village was emptied in the 9th century BC until the Romans transformed its remains into a wine laboratory.
