Historic Jamestowne is a historic site located in Jamestown, Virginia. It is the site of James Fort and the town of Jamestown, which were established in 17th-century America. The site is managed by the National Park Service and Preservation Virginia. The visitor center is the starting point for the Jamestowne experience. Here you can purchase tickets, obtain maps of the site and information on guided tours. From the Visitor Center, you can access the original fort site and the New Towne by crossing a pedestrian bridge over a marsh. After your visit, take a tour of the gift store, which offers a variety of Jamestowne-related books, gifts and souvenirs.
