This property was the home of President James Monroe from 1793 to 1826 and was less impressive than the nearby manor in Monticello. He even made this beautiful wooden plantation, open today to the public, his official residence between 1799 and 1823. During the guided tour here, you will discover the interior of the house and thus the life of the time, especially thanks to a beautiful collection of original furniture.
