CFVO association suggesting a steam train or diesel locomotive ride on the old Épinac-Dijon line.

How about a 1-hour train ride on the old Epinac-Dijon line? Members of the CFVO association pamper historic steam locomotives (the oldest, "La Couillet" from 1910, is a listed historic monument) and diesel locomotives, which they put into service to run along 7 km of track in the bucolic Ouche valley. In 1830, this track was used to transport iron ore and coal between Epinac and the Canal.

Opening time and information on CFVO - OUCHE VALLEY TOURIST RAILWAY

Open from May to September. Steam trains every Sunday and public holiday at 2.30pm and 4.30pm from Bligny; return at 3.10pm and 5.10pm from and 3pm to Pont d'Ouche. In July and August: diesel service from Monday to Saturday at 10.30 a.m. from Bligny. Steam at 2.30pm and 4.30pm. Free for children under 4. Adults: €8.50 (round-trip. €5.50 one-way). Children (aged 4 to 12): €4 (round trip. €2.50 one-way). Special steam days with several departures can be organized, please enquire. 2 carriages specially adapted for people with reduced mobility. Guided tours. Store.

Deuxième fois que je fais le parcours Bligny/Pont d'Ouche. La première fois un wagon a deraillé. Cette fois-ci du retard. J'ai vu des hauts parleurs dans les wagons,,,serait ce pour commenter la vie et l'origine de cette voie ferrée ? Je n'ai rien entendu en ce sens.
